We grew up in a house hold full of five kids, two parents, 3 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, two dogs, 3 hamsters, 2 rabits and three refrigarators. Needless to say, we all had a shit load of shit going on all the time. Never a dull moment in that home. Nathan is a middle child. For many of those in that line-up can be "forgotten". But one thing is for sure...that is never true.
We had our first real brother talk only a few years back to be honest. We moved into our Harrison apartment downtown Portland and ended up "running a pub" together for a couple months. I remember sitting in that first week, stopping from the chaos and saying to myself "who is this guy?" Which led me to simply ask..."so what have you been up to?" Haha. It is quite comedic to think that this person has such a similar upbringing but an entirly different story. Learning from my brother how to work hard, dedicate yourself to learning the craft, commitment and loyality have only been a few of the nuggets I've received from this brotherly love.
My most favorite part of our friendship would have to be two-fold. Our shared and passionate love for John Mayer and that he was my best man at my wedding. There is nobody else who would call me up to let me know a new song dropped from JM and there is nobody else I could imagine in our wedding photos to have by my side. (Besides my wife of course) Nathan is dedicated to pursuing his path and the life he wants to live. Even if he might have been "overlooked" by the small world he grew up in Hillsboro along side of four other kids. The world will be a better place because he has choosen to live out the best way he knows how.
